I took Tan to dinner at Thaifoon for his Birthday and actually pulled off a surprise! I was shocked that he didn't have a clue. I had secretly invited a bunch of friends to come celebrate with us.
On the way to the restauraunt he even called me on it and asked "I don't really feel like Thaifoon, how about we go to Spaghetti Factory?"......quicker than a sneaky snake I replied, "Sure! That sounds really good too!" He said "No, I was just checkin' to see if this was a surprise dinner." HA! It was awesome. Tanner is loved by a lot of people :) Great friends who went to the trouble to get sitters, drive to Salt Lake and give up their Friday night to spend it with us. Thank you Everyone :)

Boondock's will give you a $25 activity pass on your Birthday if you sign up for the Birthday Club on their website.....so we spent the evening their with the girls:) So grateful we didn't actually have to spend money becuase Maci was less than impressed with the activities that she did try. Bumper boats lasted all of 1 min before she was screaming to come back to Mommy. (Best part was Tanner scootin' around in it after she got out). Mini Golf was hilarious. Until the Pharoah at the last hole started to blow smoke out of its nose and fire out of its head. She had a seizure of terror and bolted across the park screaming. Go-Karts were great until the second lap when a bug flew into her eye and she screamed for Tanner to take her back to Mommy.

you are so funny, the description of Maci at boondocks was killing me. i could watch her all day long, she is such a funny little character. happy birthday tanner, sounds like you went all out, what a good little wifey.
p.s. we do need to play, I'm determined belle and maci need to be friends, there's too much cuteness and weirdness going on not to have it combined.
Poor Maci. Traumatized at a discount... ;) We think she's adorable- tears and all. One day, you'll be so thankful for her caution.
And we LOVED that we were able to come that night! I didn't know it was a surprise- I'm glad we didn't blow it. In fact, I'm pretty sure Steve called Tanner a few times... Happy Birthday again!
man he's so clever in how he went about trying to figure out if it were a surprise. I'm also really impressed with how smoothly you saved it. quick thinking!
