Summer's Ending Adventures

I don't necessarily like the State Fair.
I also don't like missing the State Fair.
We went this year to introduce the expeirence to Maci and Leila.
Thumbs up. Maci's favorite part was riding the horse.
And by riding the horse I mean being roped into a saddle and sitting
on the saddest horse I have ever seen while walking
around and around in circles behind an even sadder horse.
I'm not a fan of animals...but this broke my heart.
I got over it though because Maci LOVED "riding"
'Pupsi Horse'......even though the Old Horse guy
kept on correcting her and saying "his name is scarecrow"

The anticipation is almost too much to handle ;)

We braved the Jumbo slide.....3 times. Gimpy armed Tanner and all :)

Cambs and Maci bonded while admiring the award winning cattle.....

Leila grinned at everything as usual....

We played in front of the crazy mirrors

Good times! I think it's a tradition that's going to stick....much to Tanner's chagrin.

The girls and I met a friend at sugarhouse park to feed the ducks.
And by ducks I mean carniverous-child-eating-man-sized-death-birds.
Terrifying experience. Maci did surprisingly well. I was more worried they would peck her eyes out.

She was abnormally brave and insisted on feeding them every last crumb.

Yikes. Too close for comfort.

We spent an evening at Temple Square with the Davis'

And spent the majority of that time trying to keep our kids out of the foundtains.

I can't believe how fast they are all growing up....

Maci and Leila adore these guys...they are just like big brothers to them :)

I'm not excited for winter at all. I'm not sure what we will do to keep ourselves occupied through all the cold months ahead......
But i'll keep ya posted ;)
