Last weekend I completed my second triathlon , the Stansbury Park Tri. I was feeling awfully jipped that I had worked so hard to train for the swim in St. George and didn't get to do it. So, I looked for the closest open water swim I could find and signed up before I get anymore pregnant.
Children cover your eyes!! I post this not for comedy relief, to make you sick, to make me look good or to scare small creatures....it is for posterity only. I apologize and move on.
Sara and I learned the hard way the reason for spraying WD-40 all over ourselves....apparently it makes it much easier to get the dang wetsuit on and off. We struggled!! I hate to admit it but our swim to bike transition time was way over 10 minutes....so embarrassing!

Our murky, stinky, weedy, 8 lb bass supporting, less than warm "open" water swim. It was terrifying. I really had a hard time and am anxious to be able to get more experience after the baby. For my very first open water swim ever it was pretty close to what I expected and far less than what I had hoped for. However, I survived and as far as I know didn't contract any serious diseases.
See above post for more details :)
