4 years 361 days.......Happy Early Anniversary Babers!!

Due to "scheduling conflicts" Tan and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary a few days early this year. It was incredible! When we got married we decided to trade off planning Anniversaries every year so that it doesn't always fall and Tanner... after 5 years I think we should revise the original plan...Tan has mad surprise planning skills! He let me sleep in the day after Christmas while he got Maci ready to go to his Mom's for the night. We went to one of our favorite lunch spots at Big City Soup and reminisced for a while....killer butternut squash soup! Then we checked in to the downtown Marriott.....he made the mistake of asking me what I wanted to do that afternoon and after seeing the gym I of course wanted to work out. He must love me still after 5 years because he actually came with me to work out!! RARELY if ever does THAT happen... thanks love ;) We got all ready and he "kidnapped" me for the evening.....he refused to tell me what we were doing or where we were going, only that I would be SO excited. We started heading towards the Gateway and I immediately knew what we were doing! A 'Date Night' cooking class at Sur La Table!!! I have always wanted to do that and have begged Tan to go with me since we met! It was Mexico City night and it was absolutely fabulous! There were 6 couples and each couple was responsible for a part of the meal.....our assignment-- Fresh Guacamole. I have never been more attracted to my "Sexy Mexi"!!! :) It was a blast and the food was soooo great....anyone for Mexican? After we stuffed ourselves and bragged about our Guacamole Tan took me back to the Hotel where the next surprise was waiting.....

He had packed our "formal attire" without me knowing and we got all dressed up....suit and tie and everything! We went to another of our favorite places for dessert, the Melting Pot! Two words- S'more Fondue= pure bliss! Seriously it was perfect. We sat there for almost 2 hours just chatting and giggling (yeah we're still in love). We slept in until 11 a.m. ordered room service breakfast of creme brulee oatmeal with strawberries and crunchy granola french toast while watching Eagle Eye. To finish it all off we got hour long massages! I am so spoiled. It was terrific to have just "us" time and feel like we were dating again. Good work T!

Check out my avocado mashing skills....

Yeah that's my man mushing tomatillos and cilantro....yummo~ Thanks Baby cakes for an unforgettable outing! Thanks Karly for hooking us up at the Marriott! Thank you Grammy K for watching our Schwimp!

You'd think after such a relaxing getaway I'd be refreshed and energized...nope, I went home and took a 3 hour nap while Tanner returned all his Christmas presents ;)
