My first Mother's day was great.... my favorite part was that I got to spend the WHOLE day with Tan and Macers! We got to visit both of our Mom's and even Grandma June. It is so incredible to be a Mom. Incredibly hard, incredibly tiring, incredibly time consuming, incredibly exciting, incredibly fun and an incredible blessing in my life.
I learned more about myself and been stretched (in MANY ways) to fill this role. Most of the time I feel so inadequate and could spend all my time worrying about what I am not doing right, but that little smile and the snuggles I get tell me that I must be doing something right. So I'll keep on keepin on I guess.
We woke up early Sunday morning so that we could surprise my Mom with her new bike! I think I was more excited than anyone but it was fun just the same. All my siblings went in and got her a bike to celebrate her new goals. Maci and Cambria got Grandma a platter and some chocolate dipped strawberries.... It looks like Maci was pretty excited to present it to Grandma Cathy. (My mom is going to kill me when she sees this picture but it's all in the spirit of Motherhood right?) Words cannot express what my Mother means to me. She is my "kindred spirit" and biggest fan.... yeah she still cheers for me. She is an inspiration to me in every aspect of my life. I owe everything I am to her and the example she has set. She is the most humble, giving, faithful, courageous and life-loving woman I know. I absolutely love you Mom!
Later that evening we got to go visit Tanner's Grandma June. We love her so much and enjoy every chance we get to be with her. She is so fun and has the greatest sense of humor! She is an incredible Mother to her children (she did raise Corey... that in itself is amazing!) a loving Grandma and an nurturing Great-Grandma! She loves to hold Maci and Maci doesn't look to upset does she?
We enjoyed an awesome Chicken Fajita dinner prepared by Tiff at Tanner's House. We got to spend time with Grammy K and Grandpa Corey and also got to talk to Sister Tasha when she called from Chicago! It was a great day. I am so blessed to have such an amazing Mother-in-Law! She is so good to us and has been such a huge help with Maci, it would be so hard without her. I happen to know she is one of the BEST Mothers around.... she raised an incredible son who blesses my life EVERY day! Thank you Kristen for sharing and living your Testimony and for loving me like your own. I love you so much!

Your right, you are very blessed with wonderful mothers, as are you! It's such a great calling and so worth all the pain and anguish! Even in the years to come with more children!
