This weekend was the first Annual Bell Women's
Conference. All of the women on Tanner's Dad's side of the family over the age of 18 got together for a 2 day experience. It was amazing! My wonderful Mother-in-law put it together this year and it turned out so perfect. It kicked off Friday morning with a Temple session at the Salt Lake Temple then an incredible Luncheon at the Lion House.
After stuffing our faces with those delicious lion house rolls we went back to my in laws house and learned how to crochet the edges of blankets.....yeah there is definitely a reason why I haven't done it before... It took me 5 hours to finish about 12 inches. Anyway it was a lot of fun to chat and snack while most of us just got tangled in yarn. All of those blankets that actually got finished will go to the Safe Harbor Women's Shelter in
Kaysville.
After stuffing our faces yet again, we all went to see "Big River" at the Roger's Memorial Theater.... However, they wouldn't let me take
Maci in so I went back home and waited for the party to return. Apparently I didn't miss much! The reviews were not so good, however the party went on late/early into the morning. We had a big slumber party with giggling, gossiping (about Hubbies), and lots of junk food. It was just like Junior High all over. How often do you get to have sleep overs with all of your husband's Aunts and Cousins?! It was a blast. Despite the late night we woke up at 9am to a beautiful spread or
yogurt parfaits, bagels, muffins and juice. We spent all day yesterday teaching
each other everything from gardening to CPR, raising happy children and providing
spiritual experiences to reviewing a great book about America. It was so great!
I am so very blessed to have married into such an amazing family full of incredible examples of service, knowledge, charity, Motherhood and endurance..... all of whom I consider good friends. I really enjoyed myself and feel so uplifted by the experience.
Except, I became aware of the fact that I am the only wife in
America that has miserably failed her family by not washing bed sheets EVERY week! Who knew? It sounds completely absurd to me but just the same I was ridiculed sufficiently. Please tell me I am not the only one!!?!
Thanks again to all the

I so do not wash all our sheets every single week. I'm not sure if that makes you feel better or worse :)
You taught a CPR course?!?! I want you to come down here and teach my ward. I am blown away by the number of people who don't know CPR. I want us to start this tradition. I will fly in!~
dang it kristin, why did you put both pictures there? oh well, except for the part where i'm in it, its fun to see pictures of that fun event. Good recap. oh and I totally don't wash my sheets every week.
Wow what a great idea! That sounds like a blast! And let me say that I have NEVER in my married life washed sheets 2 in a 2 week span. Sure it couldn't hurt anything to wash them weekly, but I tend to spread that one out a few weeks.

Yes- washing bedsheets usually occurs when I think I see something on them. Then I become all to paranoid, and wash everything in the house. Freakish? I think so. But not once a week.
How fun! Yes, Aunt Kristen is quite a party thrower! And no, you are not alone in the sheet washing department!
