Happy Birthday Kristen!!! My Mother-in-law celebrated her 50th birthday last saturday....and we all wanted to help. Maci and I spent friday filling 50 treat bags with 50 of Gramma's favorite treats.....Corey took her to St. George for the weekend so we decorated the house to surprise her when they got home. 4 siblings, 12 rolls of streamers, 50 balloons, 50 scattered treat bags, Tiff's amazing cake skills and 2 hours later we were all ready to party!! She was really surprised (at least acted it very well). It was so Fun!!
Maci, however, was not a big fan of the surprise. As soon as grammy picked her up she started SCREAMING!! A scream that I have never heard before and one that didn't stop for about an hour. It was so weird. I felt so bad.... I have no clue what that was all about...my daughter is apparently against birthday surprises.
On Monday we all went to Dinner together at Firehouse Pizza in Centerville. It was really fun to be there.....it took about 30 min to decide on 2 pizzas for the group..... once that happened though it was great pizza. ;)
It wouldn't be a Bell Family dinner without some kind of political conversation.....the topics of the night were Mitt Romney and his decision to speak, text messaging in schools, and Janet's favorite illegal immigration. We all like to bring that up just so Grandma Sorensen will get all worked up, it's pretty funny. I take no part in these conversations except listening and laughing when everyone gets all opinionated and flustered..... Tasha would love it.
We love you so much Kristen!! You are an amazing mother and friend. An example to all of us. We are so grateful for you! You don't look or act a day over 30!
