SGTRI 2010: Tri'n for Pink Team

First Tri of the Season done....

St. George Triathlon

Tan and I competed in the STGTRI again this year, it was a blast! Cody and Sar were kind enough to bring our Girls to the finish line. It was so awesome to hold them and see them right after finishing. Maci was more excited about the water bottle than anything.

Two of my lifers Ogs and Mort. Ogs is an animal! She flew out from Chicago for this and killed it! Mort is still pregnant, she'll be in top shape for next year.

How amazing is Tanner?!? This hunk of love didn't run, bike or swim once prior to the event..... and still beat my time (ok fine. So it's not that hard to do).
That is one of the bones I have to pick after this life..... Maybe it made sense back in the hunting and gathering times for Men to be effortless athletes, now a days.....it is just pure frustrating and wrong.

ANYWAY,

It was a beautiful day at Sand Hollow, and the race directors finally wised up and pushed start times back so that they wouldn't have to cancel the swim due to cold and wind.
I didn't even start my swim until 10 am.......Not much to complain about there (I still did plenty of complaining once my toes touched the frigid water)

My Ladies. I am the luckiest girl to have such amazing and supportive friends. Love 'em!!

Sar's younger sister Michelle. She is the sweetest thing and so freaking brave! This was her very first triathlon and she finished like a champ!

My Sar bear. This here is one inspiring, determined and strong woman. You thought I was stubborn?!?! Meet Sarah Osmond Hilton. ;)

Hunk of Love and I prior to the start..... I am not trying to flex my arm, I was just showing my number. I am way self conscious about it now that a total stranger at Bajio's said "Miss, that arm looks stronger than heck." Thanks Ricardo.

We had some time to kill before our wave started.....hence the plethora of posing pics.
Can you tell I'm way nervous?

Let's just say we all used the potties 2-3 times prior to starting.
"YUCCA" is right!!! Those were some of the worst pre event port-o-potties I have ever experienced! It's fair to assume we weren't the only "nervous" participants there ;)

This was Tanner's wave starting at 9:30 am.

We did it!! Even though I cried the first 100m of the swim before realizing it was fairly enjoyable, We finished! And I'm sure we'll be back.
Next year Pink Team style.

SO AWESOME! We've decided we're going to do a tri- you've inspired us. And poor Ricardo. He has no idea how close he was to a serious beatdown with those guns.

You're inspiring!
