Big Girl Room!!!

It's happening. She's growing up. It is exciting and so surreal at the same time. Sweet Leila Bug is getting so big that she doesn't fit in the bassinet anymore (at least not comfortably). So we figured it was time to make the switch. I was having a really hard time deciding what to do.....should I keep Maci in her room and switch the crib for a "big girl bed" or make the switch to an entirely new room? Tanner finally talked me into the latter. After Uncle Chris and Aunt Karly left we set up Maci's bed, found a new bedspread (the guest set was all white) and moved all of her things into her new "Big girl Room".
I think she is pleased ;)

She was so excited and proud to be in a new bed in her new room......unfortunately, she was not excited to SLEEP in either.

The first 4 nights were a nightmare. Hourly pats on the face, lights on and playing at all hours of the night.....I even walked in at midnight one night to find her sitting in the dark trying on EVERY pair of her shoes. Yep she's my daughter :)
She is doing much better now and I am grateful the excitement is starting to wear off to the point that she will actually sleep some of the time.
Leila is loving the spaciousness of the crib and is sleeping through the night like a champ! Fun to have the "nursery" actually BE a Nursery again.

Maci is so dang cute, we really need to do a playdate, I need to be around her more. She's such a funny cute little munchkin. Belle still hasn't made the move to a big girl bed, I'm dreading it. Any tips? your description of the pats on the face and the shoes were cracking me up, you are seriously funny.
btw, you made my day/week/month with your comment, you are so nice! and another btw, how come your blog never is updated on blogroll?

She is so cute. She looks beyond pleased in her big girl bed. And that transition was rough for us too. I used to cry outside of Kalli's room because she would be screaming at me to come "save her" and she would jam her chubby little fingers under the door to look for me.

Well, I only cried for 2 days. Then I found myself thinking, "knock it off already, will ya?"
