Without a camera I don't have much to blog about. But, here I am at 2 am on a super slow night in the E.R. with nothing else to do at the moment ;) So why not share a few of my fav's!?!?!
This stuff works MIRACLES!! Our sweet Leila Bug has had a pretty rough first 4 months. She has more gas than a typical 50 year old man and struggles with discomfort almost constantly. We have tried almost everything....Rx medications, massage, heating pads, cutting out dairy, soy formula, special "no spit-up" formula, different bottles, acidophilus.....you name it we have tried it with little improvement. A friend mentioned that "gripe water" was the only thing that worked for her kids and I had never heard of it so I googled it and bought a bottle. Why not? It got here two days ago and they have been the best 2 days of the last 4 months!! It seems to work almost instantly and she is such a happier baby. I am kind of ticked I didn't try it sooner!
Cheesy. I know. I am HOOKED!!! What else am I gonna watch while Tanner is out of town? Everyone needs a guilty pleasure...mine just happens to be an uber dramatic, ooey-gooey teenaged vampire show. Two words: Pretty Boys.

This book is so good! I love it. Tanner raved about it when he read it and I would always nod and smile when he talked about it. I believed him, but how good could a running book be? So good. I have seriously considered becoming a barefoot ultramarathoner. Not kidding. I have started running 3-4 miles barefoot twice a week. It definitely reminds me what I like about running :)

I love it. It's crisp, cool, tingling goodness brings joy to my life.

I am on a total Raisin Bran Crunch kick lately. I have been going through boxes a week! I'm not a breakfast cereal eater for breakfast though. The thought of eating something that sweet for breakfast grosses me out most of the time and I don't really like milk. I LOVE to eat it dry for "dessert" or late night snack. It is loaded with sugar though, so it isn't great for you but it is so satisfyingly crunchy and sweet with a delightfully chewy raisin every so often.
Bear Naked is not only an awesome company, they make the best granola. I am in love with the Vanilla Almond Crunch "FIT" line. I sprinkle it on my cottage cheese and grapefruit in the morning and it is delicious! No high fructose corn syrup, low calorie and low fat. Very good!

Although not as good as fresh grapefruit, it is delicious and much less time consuming to enjoy. I mix one of these babies with a serving of low fat cottage cheese and a sprinkle of "FIT" granola and *woila*

a filling, tasty and healthy breakfast....I love the texture. Weird. But I do.

I am not a juice drinker. But I HATE plain water. Who hates water right? There was a period in my life when I literally drank TOO much water and gave myself water poisoning....since then, it makes me nauseas to drink much plain water. I usually stick with watered down propel or crystal light....I forgot my "mixture" at the gym the other day and purchased one of these out of the vending machine. Heaven! Liquid refreshement at it's finest! Black and Blueberry is my favorite, Fuji apple pear is a close second. They have been on sale at Smith's so I stocked up and actually get excited to rehydrate after a good workout.Mmmmmm.

i love these kinds of posts. i have been hearing so much about "born to run." is it really that good? i guess i need to read it.
Looks like there is some new granola I am going to try! Thanks for the advice KB!
All of your favorite things are my favorite things too! =) I was embarrased to admit that I love Vampire Diaries until I saw that you like it too, also every morning I eat one of those grapefruit things for breakfast... we pretty much are twins.
I have read some of born to run, or listened to it online a while ago, but you're really running barefoot? That is awesome! I love cereal for a late night snack too but I'll pass on the raisin bran. :) Glad gripe water is working for Leila, what a relief!
wow I had never heard of "gripe water" good to know! thanks!
Hmm I'm going to have to try that granola/grapefruit/cottage cheese breakfast. Sounds yummmy. Also, I started to watch that Vampire Diaries & loved it but I had to quit because I have too many shows! And are you running barefoot outside??? If so, you crazy woman.
No barefooting outside Jamers ;)
Just socks on the treadmill....I'm only part crazy.
So love Vampire Diaries! I "make" Ben watch with me. I know that he watches it without me though when I am working nights at the hospital.
Did you now that they sell gripe water at Kid to Kid.
The only place I could find it when we lived there.
Yea,thanks for the tip on the SoBe water. It is gluten
free and corn syrup free-so Dane can have it-a huge find for us, THANK YOU! I can't wait to try it.
I think you should run a leg in the ragnar barefoot!
Please say that you are coming to SF in March!!!!!!!!!
