Girls Trip!!!

A couple of weeks ago Cara and I got to fly out to California to Surprise Mom and Han on their "Graduation trip"! We stressed out and planned for people to watch the girls and our husbands....After 5 months of keeping our secret we were off! Of course, who doesn't need a steamed milk to start off the trip right.....I got so many concerned/judging looks from people as I carried my Starbucks cup through the SLC airport 6 1/2 months pregnant! We flew into San Jose and my Mom (she was in on the surprise) and Han picked us up. Han was so surprised she burst into tears in the middle of the road outside of the airport. Cutest thing ever! Our First stop was the nearest fresh fruit stand where we bought plenty of strawberries and cherries to hold us over until we got back to Carmel. We found a little burger place in some hoity toity strip mall where we could afford to eat...cute place. Note to self....falafel is not for everyone. :)

Had to snap this picture of my Mom and her "spectacle duo"... I guess this is what I have to look forward to because I frequently see my Father-in-law sporting the same trend....reading glasses and sunglasses both on your head at the same time in order to conveniently trade off. Nerdy or endearing? I haven't decided.

When Cara and I graduated from highschool my Mom took us on this same roadtrip. One of my alltime favortie trips and a tradition I want to have with my daughers.

My Mom has an Uncle who actually lives on Pebble Beach....literally windows overlooking the golf course and beach. This is the peir outside of the Pebble Beach Golf Club, me and my beautiful sister Hannah.

Looking out over the beach....could it be anymore beautiful?

Uncle Herb's Guesthouse from several angles.... the breeze way..

View from the Main house to the Guest house...

P.S. the guy that does the gardening HAND trims everything. Insane? Yes. Especially since he is probably in his late 70's.

Scary picture taken by a scary stick woman on the Beach....

She claimed to be a photographer.....shouldn't not be staring into the sun?

Okay....This is my Great Aunt Beverly. One of the spunkiest women alive! She is my Grandma Helen's younger sister and it is sooooo much fun to be around her because even though she is complete opposite of my sweet grandma , she reminds me so much of her. She is 4 foot 8, flaming red hair (she says she will NEVER go gray), drives herself around in an Envoy, flirts more than any one i've ever met and is always smiling!
We met her for lunch at "The Whole Enchilada" on Highway 1. She managed to polish off 2 margaritas in the hour we were there....not much right? Well for a woman in her 80's I think that is plenty more than is needed....especially when she insists on driving herself home. Man, I could listen to her stories for hours. She is a gem!

Han and I posin' while Aunt Bev and Mom were catching up.

The Girls

It took us forever to try and get this picture....cameras kept going off at the wrong times...this was in the little alcove inside the guest house.

Han and Mom

Sisters

We stopped by the Monterrey Aquarium on our way to San Fran. They had this wave simulator and I tried to catch a picture with han when the wave came...

Mom giving the "oh no you didn't" look to the guy who walked in front of our picture....

Overlooking Monterrey Bay

I love my new camera.....I think this pic turned out pretty cool

Sea Horse....my new favorite animal. They had a video showing how the male gives birth to the babies.....definietly my favorite.

What would a vacation be to Northern Cali without the Bubba Gump picture?

Wow, you just brought back Brennan and my trip. We stayed at the hotel right there by Bubba Gump and I got my worst haircut ever (fun layer) at a little place right next to Bubba Gumps. What a fun sister trip!
