It was a beautiful night and everyone was out..... to the point where the ducks wouldn't even eat the bread you tossed to them because they had been eating people's bread all day long. Have you ever met a duck that wouldn't eat your bread? It was pretty disappointing. Fun just the same. Maci got a kick out of throwing things at them. She was hilarious running around screaming/preaching (it sounds like she is calling to repentence) at them.
Pardon her nasty nose.....I have been fighting this battle for 2 weeks now....obviously I'm not the winner.
While we are sitting out eating our dinner together enjoying the outdoors... Tanner feels it necessary to comment out of nowhere, "her hair is nasty." Looking around for the perpetrator I asked, "who?" He says. "Maci. Her hair is nasty."..........

Seriously? I was ticked. Who says that? He dug himself a deep hole by trying to say " I mean it is just in an awkward phase, you know, long in some places, bald in others...." No excuses. I jumped all over him like any Mom would. But honestly....we are struggling with the hair ;)

We were at the Layton park yesterday too. I'm surprised we didn't see you. We saw everyone else in the city :) I love the picture of Maci walking on the grass, such a smart girl.
Just think...soon she will have a sibling to preach repentance to!! And about the hair...men are not allowed to comment on the childrens hair...unless they are willing to get the children to sit still while they CUT IT THEMSELVES! Jeff cuts Jeffy's hair...thank heaven cause there is no way on EARTH that I am EVER touching those buzzer things to my childs tender scalp. I unfortunately have cut CJ's bangs too short many times. Which always produces a nice comment from the spouse. Thus...I am growing her bangs out!
Seriously...why do dad's think they can be annoyed at our kids hair when they don't even try and do anything with it. I too love that picture of Maci creeping on the grass. And that scary Tan picture is pretty funny too ;)
So I just caught up on all of your posts- you have been busy! Your little sister is gorgeous- doesn't it make you happy to see a teenage girl know who she is?? And I can't beleive that Maci is a lap sitter already- watch out Drama Woman in the future! If it makes you feel better, I took Kalli to the zoo the other day and she started bawling when she said goodbye to that creepy elephant thing that she is STILL afraid of. So I'm dragging a wailing 2.5 year old out of the zoo while she is screaming, "Bye Scary Elephant! (sob, sob, gasp) Bye!"
And- how was the tri?
Berk and I are laughing at Tanner's comment about Maci's hair. It really is a goofy phase for hair - every little girl has it. I still think she is adorable!
I don't think Maci's hair is nasty... I think it's beautiful! Love that girl & the tip toes through the grass. Too funny!
She is too funny! I love it. Silly boys...they really aren't allowed to comment about hair. :)
