B.W.C. (aka Bell Women's Conference) Inspiration

I just got these quotes/advice on suffering that were compiled and shared by our speaker at B.W.C which I blogged about a few posts ago..... I love these quotes! Most of them I have heard before and some are new, but mostly I just want to share them so that I can refer back to them ;)

  1. Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.~~ M. Kathleen Casey
  2. We have no right to ask when sorrow comes, "Why did this happen to me?" unless we ask the same question for every moment of happiness that comes our way~~ Author Unknown
  3. A bend in the road is not the end of the road....unless you fail to make the turn. ~~ Author Unknown

  5. I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much~~ Mother Teresa

  8. The healthy and strong individual is the one who asks for help when he needs it. Whether he's got an abscess on his knee or in his soul.~~ Rona Barrett
  9. Who will tell whether one happy moment of love or joy of breathing or walking on a bright morning and smelling the fresh air, is not worth all the suffering and effort which life implies. ~~ Erich Fromm
  10. I ask not for a lighter burden, but broader shoulders.~~ Jewish Proverb
  11. How can something bother you if you won't let it?~~ T. Guillemets
  12. If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere.~~Frank Clark
  13. We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey. ~~Kenji Miyazawa
  14. Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.~~ Garth Brooks
  15. If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.~~ Mary Engelbreit
  16. The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem. ~~ Theodore Rubin
  17. You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.~~Walt Disney
  18. If you want to forget all your other troubles, wear shoes that are too tight. ~~ The Houghton Line

If those don't make you feel better or give you some kind of little smile.....then you need some Ice Cream or Chocolate ;)

So I know I'm not supposed to laugh at the "bend in the road" one. I caught myself laughing out loud though at the sight of myself, not making the turn and ending up in the bushes, thinking, "Now, how did this happen?" Thanks for sharing- the quotes are very inspiring! And remind me to turn...

Also, Kalli made a card for Maci (she wanted to say sorry to her). I'll send that in the mail as soon as I can figure out where my envelopes went.
