Any of you who know me well know that I don't always think before I speak. I have a really bad case of foot-in-mouth-syndrome! Tanner has done wonders in treating this awful disease, but alas I am not cured yet. I have many stories to tell about embarassing things I have said or done....I prefer not to share them at this time ;)
However , last thursday night Tan and I were hanging out with some friends and I vaguely remember taunting my sweet spouse. Something to the affect of "men are such wimps when it comes to being sick! When women are sick we just deal with it and go on with life, we don't get to stay home from work, blah blah blah......when Tanner is sick the world stops...." you know harmless stuff like that. (sorry babe)
Well, I should have known I would eat my own words... Saturday afternoon when I woke up from my post night shift coma, I was not feeling well. By Sunday afternoon I couldn't swallow at all, chills, fevers, body aches....I felt miserable! Sweet Tanner let me sleep all afternoon and made me go to bed early while he took care of Maci. Monday morning I seriously was ready to die! I believe my first words when Tanner asked how I felt were "I need a throat transplant stat!" I wasn't kidding. He pushed back his morning appointments and took me to Instacare. Strep Throat. 3 days before Christmas. Seriously? I haven't had Strep throat since I was 13!
Tan filled my Rx, took me home and tucked me into bed. Not one word about what a wimp I was being! He has been wonderful! Taking care of Maci, so that I don't get her sick....keeping the house relatively clean, going to MY family party without me, sleeping on the couch to avoid getting sick himself......He is the best! Thanks Babe for being a much better spouse than I... I love you. I am sorry for making fun of you when you were sicky :)

I am so sorry you are sick! And right before Christmas. Hopefully you start feeling better soon & Tan & Macers don't get it! Lets get together when we're all healthy & Christmas is over!! Merry Christmas!
You have foot in mouth disease? Who knew!? Maybe that's why you got strep, too much foot in your mouth! See I laughed out loud to that joke ;) Sorry that you are a sicky...very thankful that your sweet hubby is there to take care of you when your sister can't.
HA! I just got treated for that today! Maybe we swapped spit...? Started feeling sick on Monday night. The boys are getting treated for it too... Feel better.

So sorry- strep throat is a beast! Isn't it good that husbands are always so nice? Nothing is worse than being sick over the holidays. Next time, let some of your friend's kidnap your beautiful baby girl for a day.
Next time, don't stick your foot down so far! You might get some sort of creepy disease! Take care and Merry (Very Well) Christmas to you!
Strep is the worst. I hope you are feeling better now. I had strep two times this last year and it is not fun, you really do feel like you are going to die or something. Tanner is awesome. I feel like everyone was sick for the holidays this year, crazy.
What a wonderful husband and what a wonderful wife you are for recognizing his selfless efforts!
